Reinstatement appeal template for a suspended Google Business Profile

Copy, adapt, send. Then read the three rules under it — the template alone wins nothing if the rules are broken.

To the Google Business Profile review team,

I am the owner / authorized representative of [BUSINESS NAME] ([CATEGORY]),
located at [ADDRESS], serving customers since [YEAR].

The profile currently shows "Suspended — [exact wording from your banner]".
We believe the suspension is in error and respectfully request reinstatement.

What we have verified and corrected:
- [The specific change you made, e.g. "The business name has been reverted
to our real-world name, 'X', as shown on our storefront signage"]
- [e.g. "Name, address and phone are now character-identical across our
website, Facebook page and public directories"]

The business qualifies for a profile:
- We serve customers at our physical premises / within our service area,
  staffed during posted hours.
- The profile has been suspended for approximately [N] day(s), during which
  the business loses customers daily.

Supporting evidence available on request:
1. Exterior photo showing permanent signage and the street number
2. Business registration / license in the business name
3. Utility bill in the business name at this address
4. We are happy to provide a video walkthrough of the premises.

Please reinstate the profile, or let us know precisely which requirement
is in question so we can address it.

Sincerely,
[FULL NAME], Owner

Rule 1 — One appeal at a time

Submitting a second appeal while the first is open resets your position in the review queue. This single mistake adds more weeks than any other.

Rule 2 — Fix the violation before you claim it's fixed

Reviewers open your profile and your website. If the stuffed name is still there, the appeal is dead on arrival — and the rejection makes the next one harder.

Rule 3 — Offer evidence, don't attach everything

List what you can provide, and provide it when asked. A short letter with an evidence menu reads as confident; a wall of attachments reads as desperate.

Don't write this by hand under pressure

GBP Suspension Shield (Chrome extension) generates this letter filled in — matched to your suspension type, with the days-suspended urgency line, an evidence checklist, and the escalation protocol most appeals forget. Free audit; Pro ($29 once) unlocks the full kit.
